Cup and Saucer with Hot Coffee: Tutorial

Here I have explained how to design saucer and cup with hot coffee. I have completed all design works using Adobe Illustrator.

Step 1

First open a file 1000px by 1000px on Adobe Illustrator. Create a rectangle using Rectangle Tool (895px by 636px). Color code #8FDEF9, R=143, G=225, B=249. 

Step 2

Now create a line using Pen Tool, like my attached image. (Color code #FFFFFF, R=255, G=255, B=255. And Stoke size 7pt).

Step 3

Apply effect following the instruction. Effect > 3D > Revolve, Reset this windows like below image.

Step 4

Create a line using Pen Tool, see below image. (Color code #FFFFFF, R=255, G=255, B=255. And stoke size 1pt).

Step 5

Apply this effect following the instruction. Effect > 3D > Extrude and Bevel, Reset this windows like attached image. 

Step 6

Reset the cup handle using Selection Tool, see below image 1 and 2.

Step 7

In this step, I am trying to create a saucer. First create a line using Pen Tool, like below image (Color code #E6E6E6, R=230, G=230, B=230. And Stoke size 8pt).

Step 8

Now apply effect following the instruction. Effect > 3D > Revolve, Reset the window like the image below.

Arrange the saucer using Selection Tool, like below images 1 and 2.

Now write ‘Hot Coffee’ using Type Tools. Like below image.

Step 11

Drag this text (Hot Coffee) and drop symbols pallet. Reset this window as the image below. 

Step 12

Now Copy the cup shape and apply effect following the instruction. Effect > 3D > Revolve > More art. Reset this windows like below image.

Step 13

Now arrange the text like below image.

Now create some young coffee tree and follow instruction step -11, 12 and 13. Like below image 1 and 2.

For Hot Coffee shape, Create a semi oval using Ellipse Tools (Color code #603813, R=96, G=56, B=19).

Now copy this shape following instruction, Object > Transform > Scale. Reset this windows like below image.

Now apply Blend option following below image 1, 2 and 3.

Now create a spiral using Spiral Tools and set it like below image 1, 2 and 3.
